Was great to be at the Bucks Business Awards organised by Buckinghamshire Business First
last night, and see so many Aylesbury firms amongst the finalists. Many congratulations Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, National Paralympic Heritage Trust and Adroit Services for winning their categories.
The Buckinghamshire Community Wellbeing Hub aims to provide a useful space in Aylesbury for health & social care professionals, as well as voluntary groups, to share their skills & experience with students Bucks New University. Enjoyed looking around & meeting the management team.
It was really good to visit Booker Park School today, meet staff and see some of the excellent facilities it has for its 240 children with complex needs. The school is rightly proud of the way it is able to inspire and enable its pupils to achieve and play an active role in their own lives.
Thoroughly enjoyed popping into Bedgrove Infant School’s rescheduled summer fete. A great turnout, with lots of fun activities for the children. Good to meet headteacher Miss Lawrence & chat to teachers on the stalls. Easy to see why this is such a popular local school!
Businesses that adapt are businesses that grow. It was great to visit two local firms that are doing just that. Alcom It in Aylesbury has shifted its focus from High St retail to outsourced digital support and is now building a cyber security team.
Great to meet some of the local children enjoying the summer holiday Tech Camp being run by Next Thing Education Camps at William Harding School in Aylesbury this morning.
It was good to visit Citizens Advice Bucks in Aylesbury this morning. The charity’s highly trained staff and volunteers do excellent work to help local people with emotional, financial and practical needs often in cooperation with my own team of caseworkers.
