Aylesbury MP Rob Butler has highlighted the talents of local craftspeople, after visiting some of the venues involved in Bucks Art Weeks.
Rob said: “The Art Weeks is the largest visual arts festival in Buckinghamshire, so I was delighted to be able to visit the Craft Guild, Freya Jones Art and Craft, and Obsidian Art Gallery as part of this celebration of our county’s creativity."
Established in 1985, Bucks Art Weeks takes place in June every year. The festival involves many studios opening their doors to visitors, as well as galleries inviting the public to free exhibitions showcasing work by hundreds of local artists.
Rob added:
“I was struck by the wide variety of artwork on display during Bucks Art Weeks that I’ve visited, with everything from ceramics and jewellery to contemporary oil paintings and textiles being featured in the exhibitions I’ve visited.
“The festival ends on the 27th of June, so the next week is a great chance to see some of the creative pieces being exhibited across the county.”
