Ten years ago, Falkland Islanders voted by more than 90% to remain a British Overseas Territory. Yet Argentina has just ripped up an agreement with the UK to work together, and demanded talks on the sovereignty of the Islands. I know from my recent visit to the Falklands that Islanders want to remain British - they told me so in very strong terms. So I was glad to get confirmation in theHouse of Commons from Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Minister David Rutley MP that the UK fully backs Islanders' right to self-determination.
