A fascinating day at DSEI defence and security show with the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme. After spending time with Royal Navy and Royal Air Force my focus this year is UKStratCom. We discussed the challenges of recruiting and retaining a skilled workforce, the growing role of AI, advances in battlefield medicine and ways to improve the procurement of new defence equipment.
The keynote speech by the Chief of the Defence Staff, Admiral Tony Radakin paid tribute to the incredible bravery of Ukrainians in the face of Russia's continued illegal invasion, as well as considering China, and the UK's strength and capability to combat the threats against us.
