I was shocked to learn that many guide dog owners are still refused access to shops, cafes, and taxis. Sadly, I know this has happened in Aylesbury.
This is unlawful discrimination and is very upsetting to people with sight loss, who rely on their guide dogs for their independence.
In Parliament this afternoon, I met representatives of Guide Dogs UK to learn about the impact this has on everyday life.
I agree with one of my constituents Julie, that we need equal access for guide dogs and their owners to be enforced.
