With a major speech by the Prime Minister about climate change at the United Nations this week, it was good to visit Wendover, Bucks - Climate Action Wendover at St Marys Church, Wendover this afternoon.
As part of the Loving Earth Project, the church currently has an exhibition of 60 handmade and largely upcycled textile panels that each highlight different aspects of climate change. I was particularly struck by the panel representing flooding, which is an increasing concern in our local area.
It was also good to talk about the group’s efforts in the battle against climate change, encouraging local people to make changes in their everyday lives.
COP26 is just around in the corner, so it's good to see the local community tackling climate change for the sake of future generations. The exhibition lasts all weekend.
