Ahead of #WearItPink day on Friday, Breast Cancer Now visited in the House of Commons to talk about breast cancer care. On average, just under 1500 people on average are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the South East, so it was good to hear that screening in our area is higher than average, with work underway to speed up diagnosis. I also learnt about the particular needs of cancer patients with autism and research to improve their experience of treatment in hospital.
