Homelessness charities formed Street Link 10 years ago - it's a great way to help people who are sleeping rough. You can download the StreetLink app to alert their staff if you're concerned about someone on the streets, and local teams can then offer help.
It was good to join a reception for Homeless Link in the House of Lords, caught up with Hannah from Youth Concern and James from Aylesbury Homeless Action Group as well as Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities minister Felicity Buchan MP. I've seen first-hand how the Government's strategy to tackle rough sleeping is making a real impact in Aylesbury, and I'm keen to work with ministers, Buckinghamshire Council and local charities to do even more.
