Following my call for an urgent meeting, today I told representatives of Thames Water that they must listen to residents of Buckland, who are extremely concerned about the proposed location of a new water booster station - right next to cottages on a quiet country lane.
I am absolutely clear that the company must move it to a more appropriate site, which will have far less impact on local people. I'm pleased to have secured a firm commitment from the company to carry out a feasibility study on the alternative location that's been proposed by the Parish Council. I'm pushing for this to be completed as soon as possible.
