I was delighted to open the new pharmacy in Berryfields this morning. Following a long campaign by local residents and the parish council, I worked closely with Has Modi from Jardines Pharmacy and Ashley Waite - Waddesdon & Stone Councillor to overturn the earlier refusal to grant permission and demonstrate the strong local need for a new neighbourhood NHS pharmacy.
Excellent news as well that from day one it’s joining the Pharmacy First Scheme, meaning Berryfields residents can see their pharmacists about common conditions, including earache, sinusitis and shingles. This will help ease demand on local healthcare services by freeing up appointments with GPs.
