Today was a 'Sitting Friday' in the House of Commons, where backbench MPs can propose new laws. I spoke in three Private Members' Bill debates. They included one which would give better access to certain pensions for people who are terminally ill, a second bill would tackle school absences to ensure all children get the full benefit of their education, and finally proposals to change the law on Joint Enterprise cases for murder.
