Farming has always been a big part of Bucks life, so I throughly enjoyed spending the morning at Church Farm in Weston Turville.
The farm produces beef for leading supermarkets, grows wheat for bread and supplies eggs that are very popular with local villages.
We had a wide ranging discussion covering everything from crop rotation to fluctuating beef prices, new agricultural techniques to rural crime.
What stood out is the importance of farmers being able to diversify their income, as Church Farm does with its farm shop held on the last weekend of every month, and it’s pick your own pumpkin patch.
Thanks to Peter, Vicky and Ellie for the tour and taking time out of a typically busy day on the farm.
