I enjoyed visiting Wendover’s A little bird told me gallery this afternoon, which currently has an exhibition by artist Ken Dixon, who spent much of his life in Buckinghamshire. Having painted since the 1930s, Ken’s collection of oils features many local rural scenes from bygone times. His images of the Aylesbury Vale & Chiltern Hills illustrate the beauty and tranquility of the countryside that is on our doorsteps. The exhibition runs until Sunday.
