In the week we remember those who gave their lives in conflict, it was a privilege to visit Southwick Park with the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme today.
This was the nerve centre of the D-Day landings, where General Eisenhower planned the attack that marked a key moment in the Second World War. The giant map that was used to plot the invasion is still on the wall, a vivid & poignant reminder of all those lost that day in Normandy.
