Affordable housing is really important in Buckinghamshire as it is such an expensive area to live. Fairhive, formerly Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust, is a key provider of social homes, with about 8,500 houses in our local area. It was good to visit its Aylesbury HQ this morning to meet the Chairman and CEO to hear about their ambitions for the future, including building more properties each year to help more people on the housing register. It was a pleasure to chat to the team in the customer care department who help residents every day, and to learn about the wide range of projects Fairhive is involved in to help create thriving communities where people really want to live.
