Today marks the beginning of Armed Forces Week, during which we show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community – currently serving troops and Service families, veterans and cadets. As a member of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme, I’ve seen first-hand some of the incredible work that our Armed Forces do to keep us safe, both at home and abroad. The Aylesbury constituency is home to RAF Halton and RAF High Wycombe, as well as two Army Reserve Units, Army, Sea and Air Cadets. So I was delighted to attend the Flag Raising in Aylesbury Market Square this morning to mark the beginning of Armed Forces Week, and thank our armed service community for their immense contribution to our country.
