Inspired by writer Roald Dahl, the WhizzFizzFest is a fantastic annual literary and arts festival in Aylesbury celebrating children’s literature and creativity. So I was delighted to attend the parade to kick off this year’s celebrations on Saturday. There was a great atmosphere with music and colour as local schools joined bands, community groups and entertainers in celebration.
Following the parade, there were numerous activities and performances for visitors to enjoy across Aylesbury town centre. One such event was the Books Club for Super Spies at Aylesbury Library, where there were lots of budding 007s amongst the children taking part!
