China has behaved outrageously in arresting & assaulting a journalist from BBC News who was covering the lockdown in Shanghai. MPs across UK House of Commons condemned this disgraceful action. I asked Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office minister David Rutley MP to confirm the UK will always defend press freedom.
