More than 450,000 people in the UK are deafblind and this number is expected to increase to more than 600,000 by 2030, so it was good to meet the charity Sense in the House of Commons for #DeafblindAwarenessWeek.
Sense works to ensure people with complex disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else, by supporting with communication, overcoming isolation and connecting people with opportunities to participate in education and work.
