There was a brilliant turnout for the first day of the multi sports camp at Broughton Junior School - part of the government-funded Holiday Activities & Food programme which provides free activities and lunch for children who receive benefits-related free school meals. It was great to hear how well the scheme has been received, with places over-subscribed. The children were having a huge amount of fun, playing established sports like football and basketball, or trying their hand at gymnastics and even soft archery. This camp, along with others across the county, is organised and run by local businessman James Richardson. A former student at Aylesbury Grammar School, James is extremely impressive, setting up and developing a sports coaching business in just two years, and he was recently nominated at the Bucks Business Awards aged just 22. It's really good to see young local business people involved in projects that bring so much benefit to our local community. The JR Sports Group
