It was very good to meet Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service new Chief Fire Officer, Louise Harrison, at Aylesbury Fire Station this morning, and I was glad to hear about the warm welcome she’s received there. I was pleased to learn about the progress being made in the service after the recent HM Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue report. We also had a very useful discussion about the Service’s priorities including improving protection and prevention and recruiting more on-call firefighters.
