Good to visit Stokenchurch Dog Rescue to meet Dotty, Lowki & Charlie who are all looking for new homes. The rescue centre's been open for 60 years, but many more dogs have arrived since Covid.
I had a fascinating visit to Serious Brands on Rabans Lane in Aylesbury this afternoon. They develop and manufacture world-leading lights that are now mainly sold for reading and hobbies.
It was very good to meet Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service new Chief Fire Officer, Louise Harrison, at Aylesbury Fire Station this morning, and I was glad to hear about the warm welcome she’s received there.
It was fantastic to hear that Pharmacy First is off to a flying start in Aylesbury. At Jardines in Bedgrove many local people are already consulting their pharmacists about common conditions, including earache, sinusitis and shingles.
Farming has always been a big part of Bucks life, so I throughly enjoyed spending the morning at Church Farm in Weston Turville.
The farm produces beef for leading supermarkets, grows wheat for bread and supplies eggs that are very popular with local villages.
